Privacy policy

LAST UPDATED JUL 2026
THE SHORT VERSION
We collect as little as possible. No account is needed to read anything. If you subscribe to the newsletter, we keep your email and nothing else. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read, which does set cookies. We don't sell data, run ads, or ever ask for wallet addresses or seed phrases.

What we collect

Newsletter email. If you subscribe to the daily digest, we store your email address with our email provider [Provider Name]. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe that deletes you from the list.
Contact messages. If you email us or use the contact form, we keep the message so we can reply. We delete resolved threads after [12] months.
Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages get read and how people arrive. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your truncated IP address, approximate location (country/region level), device and browser type, referring site, and the pages you view. We have IP anonymisation on by default in GA4 and we have not enabled Google Signals, advertising personalisation, or ad remarketing on this property. We never send Google your email address or any other identifier that names you. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy, and as a US company it may process it outside your country.
Opting out. Install Google's official opt-out add-on, switch on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser, block googletagmanager.com, or use any standard content blocker. Everything on this site works normally with analytics blocked.

What we don't collect

No accounts, passwords, or profiles — the whole site is readable without signing in.
No wallet addresses, balances, or transaction data. We never ask for a seed phrase — anyone who does in our name is a scammer.
No advertising trackers, no ad cookies, no retargeting pixels, no data brokers. Analytics is measurement only — it never feeds an ad profile.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with anyone, ever.

Affiliate links and third parties

Some links on this site are affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure). When you click one, the destination site — an exchange, a wallet maker, a broker — has its own privacy policy that applies from that point on. The referral tells them you came from us; it does not tell us who you are.

Live market data

Prices, fees, and block data shown on the site are fetched from our own server, which pulls them from public sources ([mempool.space, CoinGecko]). Your browser talks only to us, not to those providers.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga and related) to tell repeat visits from new ones. They expire after two years and hold a random identifier — not your name, email, or anything you typed. We set no advertising cookies of our own.

Consent. Analytics is switched off by default. On your first visit a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies, and Google Analytics stays blocked — via Google Consent Mode, with analytics_storage denied — until you choose Accept. Decline and no analytics cookie is ever written; any left from a previous visit is deleted. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage and you can change it any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer. Advertising storage and personalisation are permanently denied on this property, whatever you choose.

Your rights

Wherever you live (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, or elsewhere), the deal is the same: email us and we'll tell you what we hold about you (usually: one email address, or nothing), correct it, or delete it within 30 days. Contact: [email protected]

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes get a note in the daily digest.
